What does this qualification cover?

This qualification will increase learner knowledge and understanding of Technology Enabled Care (TEC), and how a range of technology can be used to improve an individuals’ quality of life and help to support them to live independently.

Who is it suitable for?

This qualification is suitable for a wide range of learners aged 19 years or over, either working or wishing to work in health and social care specifically using Technology Enabled Care.

How is the qualification structured?

To be awarded the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Technology Enabled Care you are required to successfully complete the required units:

  • Introduction to Technology Enabled Care
  • Understand a Person-Centred Approach to Technology Enabled Care
  • Understand Roles and Responsibilities in Relation to Technology Enabled Care
  • Introduction to Legislation, Safeguarding and Regulatory Requirements Relating to Technology Enabled Care

How is it assessed?

To achieve the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Technology Enabled Care, you must successfully demonstrate your achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the units. This is achieved by completing assessments provided in the learning resources. NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Technology Enabled Care is internally assessed.

This is achieved by completing assessments provided in the learning resources. NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Technology Enabled Care is internally assessed.

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. You must be aged 19+ and resided in the EU for the last 3 years in order to access funding.

This course is free of charge*, however, there is a charge of £125 which will be payable if you do not complete the course.

Fees and funding

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
