Our careers strategy
Coventry College has an embedded careers strategy, in line with the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks, to enable the College to assess and measure the impact of our careers programme on learners. We regularly review our Careers Service, and invite feedback from learners, parents, carers and employers, to enable us to continue to develop our careers programme. You can provide feedback by contacting our Careers Team.
We’re committed to giving learners access to local job and volunteering opportunities. If you are a local employer with vacancies you’d like us to promote to our learners please get in touch with us too.
Latest from the Careers Service
As part of the College’s Careers strategy, aligning with the Gatsby Benchmark, the College hosted a sector specific Employer Fair in May to promote job and Apprenticeship opportunities to Motor Vehicle and Engineering learners.
Representatives from National Express, Green4Motors, Auto Surgery and Windsor Garage attended the event and have supported learners with progression to employment.
"We thought the careers event was extremely well organised and were impressed with the College’s facilities. We spoke to a number of students and encouraged them to look at our current vacancies as we’re looking for young technicians. Thanks very much for the invitation."
Alison France, Director, Green4Motor Company
"Thank you so much for inviting us to your careers event. It was well organised with great participation. The extra benefit was being able to engage with other local business."
Sarah Langford, Talent Acquisition Manager, Becketts Foods
