Access to Higher Education programmes
If you’ve been away from education for some time or didn’t quite achieve your college qualifications, an Access to Higher Education programme will give you the confidence and skills to take that next step to start a degree or equivalent university-level programme.
Fees and financial support
Our tuition fees are lower than other universities – but we don’t compromise on quality. You’ll be able to apply for loans and to help with tuition fees and living costs. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to apply for a grant too that you won’t have to pay back.

Herba
Herba completed her Access to Higher Education and is now working towards a Degree in International Business at Warwick University.
Leigh
Leigh is now working towards becoming a fully qualified social worker via on-the-job training, whilst studying towards a Master’s.
Muna
Mum of two, Muna has successfully completed an Access to Higher Education Business programme and has now studying a Degree in Economics at Aston University in Birmingham.

May to September
Now is the time to start researching courses and attending Open Events.
September
UCAS applications open.
December
Your college or sixth form will usually now check your application and add any references before submitting your form to UCAS.
January
UCAS application deadline. You can still apply after this date, but it’s advised to submit your application as early as possible.
February to May
Now’s a good time to start looking into your finance and support options.
May
Use UCAS Track to view your offers from the education providers you’ve applied to and see if your application has been successful.
June
Now’s the time to reply to your offers from the education providers on UCAS Track.
August
You'll be invited to enrol onto your programme. If you haven't applied yet or your results weren't what you were expecting, you can still be accepted onto a programme via Clearing, which opens in August.
September
