This full time, one year course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to progress further within the Performing Arts Industry.
Working with a range of industry professionals and experienced practitioners you will attend practical classes, developing technical skills through rehearsal and being assessed on final workshop or public performances.
Vital theoretical and industry understanding will be underpinned through blended learning sessions taught by experienced Lecturers at Coventry College. You will receive academic and pastoral support throughout the programme, which will be tailored to meet your individual needs.
Your HNC in Acting will allow you to develop a high standard of practical technique and performance skills. Key academic knowledge will be developed throughout the year to support a lifelong career within the arts.

How will we support your progression?
Through a series of initial 1:1 tutorials we will ascertain your preferred destination following your HNC. We will then support and guide you through the application, preparation, interview and funding stages that follow. Our lecturers have a wealth of experience when it comes to ensuring our learns are supporting to progress to the very highest level in their chosen industry.
Five GCSEs at Grade 4 (C in the old grading structure) or above, including English and at least one of the following:
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma (equating to a minimum of 80 UCAS points)
- A Levels including Performing Arts or Dance (min grade C) equating to a minimum of 48 UCAS points.
You will also need to present two strong audition pieces demonstrating performance capabilities.
Course fees: £5,225 per year
Loans & assistance are available from Student Services.
The decisions on applications for HE candidates are made by curriculum staff after interview, audition or portfolio review have taken place.

Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
