Into Employment
Into Employment training programmes are designed to support local residents, aged 19+, who may be; unemployed, economically inactive or lack basic work-related skills. As part of the programme you’ll gain essential workplace skills via job-related training. There will also be a strong focus on job interview techniques and CV writing.
At the end of the programme, you’ll have gained the skills and knowledge to be interviewed for a specific job role with the within the Health & Social Care sector.
The course is 2 weeks in length, consisting of:
- Face to face classroom delivery in College – 9.15am to 2.30pm
- Wrap-around support available: 9-9.15am and 2.30-4pm
- Employer talk and interviews with a Health & Social Care Employer will take place the week after the course ends
Progression
Upon the successful completion you’ll achieve:
- NCFE CACHE Level 1 Award in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
- Employability skills, such as; CV writing and interview techniques
This course is only available to those living within the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
Must be over the age of 19 on 31 August 2025 to be eligible for this programme
This programme is fully-funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority.
To be eligible you must:
• Be 19+ years old
• Live in the West Midlands
• Be on a low wage below £34,194 or unemployed.

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
