This course is part of an education and training scheme designed by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) to develop highly skilled support staff in the fields of finance and accountancy.
Entry to the scheme would normally be at this level.
The course covers the following subjects:
- Introduction to Bookkeeping
- Principles of Bookkeeping Controls
- Principles of Costing
- The Business Environment
Our students usually progress onto a Level 3 Qualification.
This course can be taken during the day or evening.
This is a professional course so the course entry requirements are:
AAT Level 1, GCSE English and maths Grade C/4 or above, or completion of a diagnostic test to assess your literacy and numeracy.
Course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.
For all other students fees apply:
1st year course fee £633; Exam Fee of £210 paid to AAT
AAT registration - £172 (Paid directly AAT)
Course books approximately £108
Learner Support Fund may cover the costs of your course and book fees

Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
