Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting
Ready to apply?
This is the second stage of the AAT programme of courses, designed to develop highly-skilled support staff in the fields of finance and accountancy. This course is taught in two options, either day release or two evenings per week.
Subjects you study include:
- Advanced bookkeeping
- Final accounts preparation
- Management accounting costing
- Indirect tax
- Spreadsheets for accounting
- Ethics for accountants
This course can be taken during the day or in the evening.
You need a Level 2 Certificate in Accounting with a Merit/Distinction or, alternatively, an equivalent qualification or appropriate work experience.
A place on the course is also subject to a successful interview with the course organiser.

This course is free If you live in the West Midlands Combined Authority area. To be eligible for this funding you must be 19+ years old and live in the West Midlands, on a low wage below £18,135 or unemployed.

Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
