Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting
This course provides you with the knowledge and skills required while offering a useful and practical qualification. An Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and membership enables you to develop relevant, practical accounting and finance skills throughout your working life.
An AAT qualification is widely recognised and valued. It will make you more employable and give you more options should you choose to progress further.
You will study:
- Management accounting budgeting
- Financial statements of limited companies
- Management accounting decision and control
- Credit management
- Cash and treasury management
- Accounting systems and controls
You will be assessed by a combination of examinations and online projects.
Having successfully completed the Level 4 Diploma you can go on to study for the membership examinations of one of the following: CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ACCA.
If you wish to go university the Level 4 Diploma carries UCAS points and some universities will give you one or two year exemption from their accountancy degree programmes.
If you are between 19 and 24 years of age when your start this course you may need to pay course fees. However, we can help you with our flexible payment plans.
Academic requirements are that learners have achieved five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above including maths and English or equivalent, a positive school report, Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and a successful interview with an admissions tutor.
Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
From entry-level qualifications, through to degree-level and specialist professional courses there’s something here for students with little or no formal education right up to career high-flyers. Expect a vibrant environment where you can meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
