Course Overview

This exciting course is designed to give you the skills you need to progress into employment in the hotel, hospitality and event planning industry.

This course is specifically designed for adults only, aged 19+, looking for a change in career or upskilling to get back into employment.

On successful completion of the course you will participate in a careers day with one of our hotel partners. They include Chesford Grange, Ragdale Hall and Forest of Arden.

Course content includes:

  • Planning an event
  • Market research in event planning
  • Human resources in event planning
  • Customer service and communication
  • College certificate covers front of house services, meet and greet, serving customers

The course is 12 weeks long, 8 hours per week and is a day time course. This will commence in September 2024.

• Minimum Level 1 Functional Skills in English or relevant GCSE at Grade 3/D
• To access any funding you must be resident in the EU for at least 3 years
• Successful completion of an interview with a member of the team
• May be required to complete a written assessment at enrolment
• A positive reference

To be confirmed at enrolment in August 2024. There may be some funding available for those who meet the criteria based on personal circumstances.

Making your application

Fees and funding

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
