As a City Champion, we’re looking for employers to partner with us and support the exciting activities we have planned.

From this month onwards all eyes will be on Coventry now the City of Culture 2021 campaign has been officially launched.

As the only college in Coventry, we’re extremely proud to be a City Champion during this exciting time along with other high-profile businesses and employers across the city.

We’re fiercely proud of all that Coventry has to offer and our focus in 2021 is to maximise opportunities for our learners – past, present and future.

If you’ve passed our City campus in recent months, you’ll have seen our City of Culture campaign statement which is emblazoned on the walls of the building.

That statement We are the Shapers of Culture, Makers of Change, Dreamers of Dreams underpins everything that we aspire to do during the City of Culture year.

There are three key strands to our campaign – NURTURE, ELEVATE and CELEBRATE – which align with the main statement.

As a college, we NURTURE, ELEVATE and CELEBRATE the talents of our learners, and these themes will form the basis of our celebrations during the City of Culture year.

Partnering with employers

During the year we have a number of exciting events, activities and celebrations planned which employers can get involved in.

They include:

• ‘Pitch It 2021’ – a Dragon’s Den-style competition where learners will put forward their ideas for a business start-up in a bid to win £2,021.
• Our 2,021 Hours Pledge which will see staff and learners work together to devote 2,021 hours to charities and good causes.
• 2,021’s Lasting Legacy – the creation of legacy courses to address culture and skills gaps.
