How is the qualification structured?

To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Domestic Abuse, you are required to successfully complete the mandatory units:

  • Understand Domestic Abuse
  • Understand the Signs and Risk Factors Associated with Domestic Abuse
  • Understand the Impact of Domestic Abuse
  • Understand Policy, Response and Intervention in Relation to Domestic Abuse

How is it assessed?

To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Domestic Abuse, you must successfully demonstrate your achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the units. This is achieved by completing assessments supported by learning resources.

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. You must be aged 19+ and resided in the EU for the last 3 years in order to access funding.

The course is free*, however, there is a charge of £125 which is payable if the student does not complete the course.

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
