Course Overview
This course is a 4 week course covering applying acrylic nails and Biab gel. The course is delivered by our highly qualified and experienced Beauty Lecturers, who will offer full support throughout in our modern and professional on site salons.
Learning outcomes will be:
- Introduction to basic health and safety
- Nail preparation
- Applying and sculpting acrylic nails
- Applying Biab gel nails
You will be assessed by:
- Practical tasks
- Short knowledge and understanding tasks completed in class with your tutor
- It is a requirement that you practice outside of college time to ensure you become competent in your skill set and find clients to work on
On successful completion of this course you will receive a college certificate that is recognised in industry.
This course will commence in September 2024. It is an evening course, attendance for 2 evenings a week on a Tuesday and Thursday 6pm-9pm. This programme is aimed at learners aged 19 and over (adult only).
There are no course specific qualifications required to join this course, however, there is an expectation candidates have dexterity skills and a good standard of English. A practical activity and a short written test will be given at interview to assess suitability.
£500.00 course fee (subject to change)
Plus £170.00 for the required kit (this must be purchased in advance of the course starting by students)

Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
