Success for Graphic Designer Gurpreet Bhogal
The Art and Design exhibitions at the College and Fargo Village were a great success at the end of the Summer term.
A visit to the exhibitions by Stephane Adegoroye, Company Director of Smile2Web, a young and dynamic Coventry design agency which also has an office in Paris, led to the offer of a summer job for second year Graphic Design student, Gurpreet Bhogal. Stephane was very impressed by the high standard of work produced by Gurpreet who also gained an ‘unconditional place’ at Birmingham City University to study for a BA (Hons) Degree in Visual Communication (Graphic Design), which she started this September.
Gurpreet thoroughly enjoyed the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Graphic Design here at Coventry College, City Campus. She was able to explore the whole subject of graphic design, including illustration, typography, branding, photography and computer graphics and learnt about the process behind effective graphic design. Gurpreet made the most of opportunities on the course to work hard and achieved very high grades throughout the two years, gaining valuable research skills and pushing her experimentation of a wide variety of different media and techniques. As a result Gurpreet was able to build up a very strong portfolio of work leading to highly successful interviews and offers of places on degree courses at all the universities that she applied to. Congratulations to Gurpreet!
