Charity Fundraiser for Mental Health
Level 2 Health and Social Care Fundraiser
Christmas is a time for giving, and our Level 2 Health and Social students proved this with their successful bake sale.
Level 2 Health and Social students at Coventry College have come together to successfully raise much needed funds for an amazing mental health charity. Led by class representatives Amelia Hanlon and Emily Nyabvure, the students organised a bake sale which travelled around the whole college. With the help of their teacher Anne-Marie, who created flyers to promote the event and gave continuous encouragement to the students, they raised a total of £183.
The project was a huge success, and the students would like to thank their teacher Anne-Marie for her support.
“We are so thankful to Anne-Marie for her help in making our fundraiser a success and for showing us respect and teaching us to listen to our mind and bodies everyday. We know that the money we raised will go a long way towards helping people who are struggling with their mental health.” Said Hanlon and Nyabvure.
The money raised by the bake sale will go to The Brit Challenge, which works to support young people suffering with their mental health and help them to find the support they need.
The Health and Social Care students at Coventry College are a shining example of how a small group of young people can make a big impact in their community.
