Studied: Level 2 Vehicle Body Repair and Paint
Progression: Now employed as a Paint Prepper

Why did you decide to study at Coventry College?
I had attended the College in the past and achieved the qualifications I needed at the time, so I chose to study there again.

What course did you study, and what did you enjoy the most?
I studied Level 2 Vehicle Body Repair and Paint. I enjoyed using industry standard equipment and learning the correct way to repair vehicles. I’d previously just been working it out for myself!

How has your career developed since leaving Coventry College?
Since leaving I have transitioned from a career in IT into a career in vehicle accident repair.

What was the most important thing you learned at Coventry College that has helped you in your career?
The methods used at Coventry College to fill, sand, and prime, and the techniques used to mix and apply paint serve me every day at work.

What advice would you give to those following in your footsteps at Coventry College?
The skills involved in both repairing and painting vehicles to an industry standard take years of practice. Stick at it and don’t be disheartened if you don’t get it right the first time. Apply yourself and try your hardest and you’ll go far.
