Salary:£38,756 to £41,115 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

The English Department offers qualifications for both adult learners and school leavers studying English as part of their Programme of Study. Adult programmes include Functional Skills qualifications and a GCSE in English Language which is available as either a daytime or evening study option.
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated person to join our highly-dedicated team as a Curriculum Manager for English. This role is highly visible and will provide an opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a cross-college role driving the standards of education within this subject area. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and inspirational leader.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable successful course and curriculum development experience.
- Experience in the application of quality improvement and assurance processes, including internal verification
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in in relevant subject area
- Teaching experience in the relevant subject area
- Experience of successfully leading and managing a team
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification, or equivalent competency in numeracy/maths, communication/literacy or willingness to achieve in a specified timescale
The post is full time for 37 hours per week, however the successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to their hours of work.
