Uniformed Public Services
Do you want a career within Uniformed Public Services as a fire fighter or police constable, or to be part of the RAF or Army?
Our programmes will give you an in-depth understanding of the essential skills and knowledge required to work in your chosen area. Tutors have a wide range of experience so you will gain expert training within all sectors, including: citizenship, government policies, health and fitness, leadership and teamwork. You will also learn about command and control, responding to emergency situations and policies. As a Public Services learner, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art facilities at the Alan Higgs Centre, including 3G outdoor pitches, 3G indoor dome pitch, strength and conditioning gyms, 50 metre Olympic swimming pool and analysis rooms.
There are approximately 1,689 Police Officers employed in Coventry and the surrounding areas.
The average salary for a Police Officer (sergeant & below) is £37, 502 per year.

- Fire Service Officer
- Prison Service Officer
- Probation Officer

- RAF Pilot
- Infantry Soldier
- Paratrooper
- Ambulance staff (excluding paramedics)
