Whether you have the skills to become a premier league footballer or represent Team GB in the next Olympic games, or maybe you wish to become a coach, personal trainer or sports therapist, our programmes will give you the experience required.

Learners who choose to study for qualifications in sport will gain experience in fitness testing, practical sport, anatomy and physiology, injury in sport, exercise and fitness instruction and planning and leading sports activities. As a Sport learner, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art facilities at the Alan Higgs Centre, including 3G outdoor pitches, 4G indoor pitch, strength and conditioning gyms, 50 metre Olympic swimming pool and analysis rooms.

Real World Learning

Our state-of-the-art sports facilities at The Alan Higgs Centre are where you’ll develop your skills. An industry placement will give you a real insight into a career in sport, plus our connections with local clubs, teams, leisure centres, and other employers mean there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved in sporting activities and events.

He has been awarded a prestigious sports scholarship at St Bonaventure University in the United States, where he will join the men’s rugby programme.
