A Coventry student will see her work used as an outstanding example for others across the country as she and other learners were celebrated at a spring awards ceremony.

Health and Social Care student Ellie Rice has been selected for the latest Coventry College Learner of the Month Awards after gaining top marks in her assignment work.

The ceremony, which looked back at the achievements of nine learners from all subjects during March, was presented by Coventry College Principal and CEO Carol Thomas.

Ellie was awarded an A* grade in her January assessment and consistently achieved A* grades throughout her coursework.

Ellie’s exemplary work will be used by the NCFE exam board as an example of highest-level work for other Health and Social Care students across the country.

Marlene Brown, Health and Social Care Lecturer at Coventry College, said: “Ellie is an excellent role model, and she deserves to be recognised for passing the modules so far.

“Despite Ellie having time off for medical reasons, she was able to submit all assignments on time.

“She is always on time and assist students who needed help. She is a very capable young lady and an excellent role model as a young person.”

Other winners of the March Learner of the Month Awards were Healthy and Beauty student, Stefania Milos, Maths student Zachary Ellis, Business student Isabelle Rathbone, Sport student Karmani Atkinson, Hairdressing student Wiktoria Knura, Science student Luiza Vitoria Silva Aveiro, Motor Vehicle student Craig Brown, and Performing Arts student Leonardo Lewis.
