Herba Rama

Herba Rama’s journey started in 2017 when she enrolled onto an Entry Level ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programme at Coventry College.

She’s now looking forward to September when she’ll start an undergraduate course in International Business at the University of Warwick.

Originally from Albania, Herba started on an ESOL course to improve her English and has since progressed through the Level 1 and 2 Business programmes at the College.

In addition, Herba completed GCSE Maths and English qualifications alongside business.

Following the successful completion of Level 2, Herba went on to complete an Access to Higher Education for Business, where she achieved mostly distinctions.

In September, Herba will take her place at Warwick University, studying International Business, where she will have the opportunity to undertake a placement year overseas.

Helen Morten, Access to Business Tutor at Coventry College said: “Herba has a delightful attitude towards her fellow students, invariably helping out her colleagues and is always prepared to take the plunge and be one of the first to contribute to class activities.

“Herba’s native language is Albanian and so she has had an additional challenge with her written work to produce the quality required for academic studies.”

Helen added: “Herba is an example of a truly outstanding student. Her offer of a place at Warwick University is a remarkable achievement and is fully deserved.”
