Green 4 Motor Company Takes on 3 Apprentices

An automotive retailer group with sites across the West Midlands and Warwickshire has dipped into the city’s young talent pool by taking on three apprentices from one of the UKs leading colleges.

Green 4 Motor Company has seen its marketing, accounts and administration departments find another gear after taking on board three apprentices on professional placements from Coventry College.

The group, which runs an approved Mazda and Suzuki dealership on London Road in Coventry, and approved Mazda dealerships at Tachbrook Park in Leamington and Kidderminster Road in Stourbridge, have been operating in the region for over 25 years.

The link between Green 4 Motor Company and Coventry College has provided vital industry experience to business administration student Kian Sheehy, digital marketing student Charlotte West, and finance student Erin Stapleton, who has praised the support she received from college staff while completing her apprenticeship.

Erin has studied at Coventry College since 2018 and is now enrolled on an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant apprenticeship with Green 4 Motor Company, where she assists with a range of financial tasks.

She said: “The best part about Coventry College is the tutors. I have had a great experience with all of them and they are always very understanding.

“If you have a problem or do not understand everything, they are very supportive and help you wherever they can. I feel extremely welcome there and everyone is very friendly.”

Alison France, HR Director at Green 4 Motor Company said: “It’s been a huge success working with these three and our contacts at the College have been very supportive and were extremely keen to set this link up as soon as we got in touch.

“Erin has adapted really well having never worked in an office before. Kian is also keen to learn as much as possible and has already taken on a lot of responsibility while Charlotte has brought a lot to the business with her high standards for marketing.”
