Construction Department Builds Strong Partnership with Jewson Builders Merchants

Coventry College’s Construction Department is set to benefit from an exciting new partnership with Jewson Builders Merchants, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of building materials.

Enriching the learning experience

The collaboration promises to enrich the learning experience for students and equip them with essential skills to succeed in the construction industry.

As part of the partnership, Jewson has committed to providing a range of support for the college’s students, including a generous donation of gifts, discounts on online educational resources, and a set of free, eye-catching signage that will brighten up the corridors of the college.

The collaboration with Jewson not only helps students understand the vital role that building materials play in construction projects but also provides them with the practical knowledge of how to source and purchase these materials effectively. Understanding where to find quality supplies and how to manage costs is an essential part of the construction industry, and this partnership will give students valuable insights into the process.

Jewson’s support extends beyond just the classroom. The company’s donations of practical gifts will provide students with tools and resources that they can use during their training, offering them a more hands-on experience in the skills they are developing. In addition, Jewson’s discounts on online education courses will allow students to access further learning materials at a reduced cost, ensuring they can enhance their industry knowledge and qualifications.

The free signage provided by Jewson, which will be displayed in key areas around the college, not only brightens up the space but also reinforces the strong connection between the construction department and the professional world outside of the classroom. The signage will serve as a constant reminder to students of the industry’s commitment to supporting their education and future careers.

Boosting employability

The partnership also allows Construction students to network with one of the industry’s most respected names, creating potential pathways to future employment. By gaining exposure to Jewson’s operations and industry practices, students will be better prepared to make informed career decisions and build relationships with potential employers, boosting their employability prospects upon graduation.

This collaboration highlights the importance of strong industry partnerships in helping students gain the knowledge and experience needed to succeed in their chosen fields. With Jewson’s support, Coventry College’s Construction Department is setting its students up for success, ensuring they are ready to tackle the challenges of the construction world with the right skills, knowledge, and industry connections.

As the partnership continues to develop, the college’s construction students can look forward to even more opportunities to enhance their education and kickstart their careers in the building sector.
