Covfest Welcomes Prospective Learners with a Day of Fun and Insight
Coventry College recently opened its doors to prospective learners for an exciting transition event, ‘Covfest’.
The day was designed to give future students a comprehensive glimpse into college life, complete with engaging activities, opportunities to meet with faculty, and a taste of the vibrant community that awaits them.
Upon arrival, prospective learners were warmly welcomed by Coventry College staff and directed to their respective departments for a series of taster sessions. These sessions provided a hands-on experience of the courses on offer, allowing students to interact with their potential teachers and gain a practical understanding of what to expect in their chosen fields.
Following the taster sessions, attendees gathered in the college canteen for a delightful BBQ, fostering an informal atmosphere where students could mingle with peers and faculty alike. This communal meal set the tone for the rest of the day, emphasising the college’s commitment to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
After lunch, the college grounds transformed into a lively festival-like setting. Prospective learners had free rein to explore the campus, where they encountered an array of fun fair games, candy floss and popcorn stands, and selfie booths. The light hearted activities provided a perfect balance to the academic sessions, ensuring that the day was both informative and entertaining.
Adding to the festive ambiance, the college’s music students took to the stage for a live performance. Their impressive showcase not only entertained the crowd but also highlighted the college’s thriving arts program.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many prospective learners expressed their excitement about the supportive and dynamic environment at Coventry College.
