CovFest Gives Future Students a Taste of Life at Coventry College

More than 300 prospective students experienced the excitement of college life at this year’s CovFest.

A vibrant welcome event designed to give applicants a preview of what they can expect when they begin their studies in September.

The festival welcomed students from across the region, offering the perfect opportunity to reconnect with the college, explore its facilities, meet staff and classmates, and get involved in a wide range of fun activities.

Each day began with students spending time within their chosen curriculum areas, where they met their future teachers and fellow students while learning more about their courses. The sessions also included interactive “have a go” activities, giving attendees an insight into the practical learning experiences they can look forward to when they join the college later this year.

In the afternoon, the celebrations moved outdoors as the college transformed into a lively festival atmosphere. Students enjoyed a fantastic selection of entertainment, including inflatable axe throwing, football, darts, and a variety of garden games. There were also plenty of treats on offer, with candy floss, fresh popcorn, delicious food vendors and a range of college freebies adding to the festival spirit.

CovFest is an important part of Coventry College’s transition programme, helping prospective students feel confident and excited about taking the next step in their education. By giving applicants the chance to familiarise themselves with the campus, meet the people they’ll be learning alongside, and experience the welcoming college community, the event helps ensure students arrive in September feeling prepared and ready to succeed.

After a successful two days, CovFest once again proved to be a fantastic way to welcome the next generation of Coventry College students ahead of enrolment in August.
