City of Culture 2021

City of Culture 2021

We are the Shapers of culture, Makers of change, Dreamers of dreams.

Every four years, cities across the country compete to be named City of Culture. Coventry was awarded the 2021 title after competing against eleven other cities around the UK.

Coventry College is delighted to be a partner of the UK City of Culture 2021.

This is a truly historic time for our city and we can’t wait to roll out an exciting programme of college activities this year and beyond which coincide with wider celebrations across the city.

Countdown to City of Culture celebrations:

We’re fiercely proud of all that Coventry has to offer and our focus in 2021 is to maximise opportunities for our learners – past, present and future.

Throughout history, the people of Coventry have shown true grit and determination to leave their mark on the world. Coventry College exists to continue that tradition through the wide variety of full-time, part-time and Higher Education programmes and apprenticeships we offer.

As a college, we Nurture, Elevate and Celebrate the talents of our learners, and these themes will form the basis of our celebrations during the City of Culture year.
