Coventry College Travel and Tourism Students Attend Land, Leisure and Tourism Exhibition at NEC

Travel and Tourism students from Coventry College had the chance to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of the tourism industry during a visit to the Land, Leisure and Tourism Exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham.

The event, which brought together over 100 exhibitors from across the tourism and leisure sectors, provided students with valuable networking opportunities and insights into the diverse range of businesses operating within the industry.

The exhibition featured a wide variety of companies, from food vendors and hospitality providers to entertainment businesses and travel agencies. Students spent the day exploring the exhibition halls, speaking to industry professionals, and gaining first-hand knowledge about the latest trends and opportunities in tourism. Many of the exhibitors were leading names in the industry, offering students a unique chance to learn directly from those who have successfully built careers and companies in the field.

“Being able to speak with such experienced professionals was incredibly valuable,” said one of the students, reflecting on the opportunity to engage with companies from different sectors within tourism. “It gave me a real sense of what it’s like to work in the industry and the different paths I could take in my career.”

In addition to the exhibition stands, the event also featured a series of seminars, delivered by key figures in the tourism and leisure sectors. These seminars covered a wide range of topics, including travel trends, sustainable tourism, and the future of the leisure industry. Coventry College students took full advantage of the opportunity, attending these sessions to gain further insight into the evolving landscape of the tourism business.
