We’re so pleased to share that we’re partnering with the Coventry City of Culture Trust to bring an exciting year long programme of events and activities to life.

Launching in May 2021, Coventry will become the UK City of Culture, throwing a spotlight on all that this place has to offer. Louise Bennett, chief executive of the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said:

“Starting in May allows the team, the city and the region to make up for some of the lost time due to the Coronavirus crisis to ensure it has the biggest impact socially, culturally and economically.

Culture, leisure, tourism and hospitality have been some of the hardest hit sectors within our economy so Coventry UK City of Culture 2021, immediately followed by the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022, will be a much-needed boost for the region.”

We’re passionate about all that Coventry has to offer, and we want to see it continue to grow and develop. As a leading provider of education and training, we’re perfectly positioned to bring opportunity and fresh prospects to the place we call home.

“We are delighted to welcome Coventry College as a City Champion. We truly believe that through investing in skills we can secure a meaningful legacy for the City.”

Martin Sutherland, Chief Executive of the Coventry City of Culture Trust

Just like our city, there’s a vibrant culture at the very heart of our college, in each of our departments and in our engagement with the wider community. Our programmes, courses and apprenticeships aim to bring more than just individual job prospects; they’re about transforming lives, enhancing businesses and enabling communities.
