Learning to surf the net will change the way you live, work, shop, keep in touch with friends and family and you will soon be able to view the world through your computer’s monitor. This course will give you the confidence to go on-line and surf the web, with useful hints and tips on using search engines, shopping, and staying safe.

The course will teach you how to:

  • Navigating a web page
  • Using search engines
  • Shopping online

This course designed for anyone wanting to surf the web for the very first time, or gaining that bit of extra knowledge on the basics of the internet.


This course costs £20.00.

This course is designed for complete beginners, if this is your first time using a PC we will teach you how to turn on a PC and all the mouse skills you will need. All applicants will receive pre-course advice prior to enrolment.

Making your application

We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.

Fees and funding

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
