Pre-Entry ESOL

This course is for adults who have a low level of English and want to improve their English language skills to help them with situations in every day life.

You will study topics such as shopping, health and visiting the doctor, houses and homes, jobs and working in the UK, British Values and education in he UK.  You will also improve your grammar, reading, writing, pronunciation and speaking and listening. You will study for 5.5 hours per week from September until July and at the end of the course you will receive a college certificate to say that you have completed the course.

Students who successfully complete this course can then progress to study on our Entry level ESOL courses and improve their skills further.

Making your application

We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.

Fees and funding

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
