Ready to apply?
This course is for adults who have a low level of English and want to improve their English language skills to help them in everyday life situations. You will study topics such as shopping, health and visiting the doctor, houses and homes, jobs and working in the UK, British Values and education in the UK. You will also improve your grammar, reading, writing, pronunciation and speaking & listening. At the end of the course you will receive a college certificate to say that you have completed the course. Students who successfully complete this course can then progress to study on our Entry level ESOL courses and improve their skills further.
You must be 19+ to study on this course. There are no specific requirements for but students will be assessed at enrolment to make sure they are at the most appropriate and suitable level for them.
The fee for this course is £633 per year, but you might be exempt from paying the fees depending on your individual circumstances – you will be fee assessed at enrolment.

Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
