Level 3 Diploma in Travel & Tourism
This course is designed to give you the skills you need to progress into employment in this exciting industry, with careers working for an airline, in the airport, on-board cruise ships, working abroad as a holiday rep, event and tourism management and many many more.
Over the course of the 2 years you will study a wide range of units exploring both vocational and academic elements, as this course also allows progression into higher education for those considering university. Not just in Tourism Management, you can progress to study degrees in Airport management, Event Management, just to name a few.
The course tutors are experts in the area and are able to share their experiences and knowledge with all of their students. They are so passionate for this industry.
You will have the opportunity to participate in trips and visits throughout the course; including a residential trip to a national UK holiday park. You will visit our capital city, take part in team building trips, attend exhibitions and even plan your own exciting trip at the end of the year.
As part of your study programme you will also carry out work experience and build your CV. Our supportive team will help with finding placements and we have employers in the tourism sector that can help with this too.
Travel and Tourism at Coventry College are also very lucky to have links with a national airline and hotel chain, as well as our local airport, who join us each year for guest speaker talks to share their experiences and discuss potential job roles. We are also joining up to work with City of Culture and are very excited to be a part of this experience for our great city. Tourism will always have a place in the world so why not be a part of it.

4 GCSE’s at grade 4 or above and must include English and Maths or a Level 2 qualification at Merit or above profile
This course is free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.

Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
From entry-level qualifications, through to degree-level and specialist professional courses there’s something here for students with little or no formal education right up to career high-flyers. Expect a vibrant environment where you can meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
