Level 3 Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science
This Course provides an exciting opportunity for anyone who is interested in the science side of sport. An ideal starting point if you wish to pursue a career in the sport and exercise science industry; such as physiotherapy, sports psychology and the exercise and health industry.
This course will develop a range of: practical skills and techniques; theoretical knowledge and understanding; personal skills and attributes, that are essential for successful performance in the sport and exercise science industry.
The units of study will reflect real-life scenarios within the sport and exercise industry. Learn all about sport and exercise anatomy, physiology and sports psychology and also various units to do with sport and how to apply this knowledge to your chosen sporting career.
This course is a Study Programme which consists of:
- Vocational Qualification
- Work Experience
*If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade C or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme.
To get a place on the course you will need 4 GCSE’s Grade 4 (C in the old grading structure) or above, including English and biology/science. Maths at Grade 3 (D) or above (or Level 2 GCSE equivalent qualifications in English and maths).
Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
From entry-level qualifications, through to degree-level and specialist professional courses there’s something here for students with little or no formal education right up to career high-flyers. Expect a vibrant environment where you can meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
