Level 3 Diploma in Professional Cookery
The course is for students who have successfully achieved a Level 2 Cookery qualification. It is designed to develop existing skills which will enable you to gain employment in high level restaurants and hotels.
You will be studying:
- Butchery Skills of Meat Poultry and Game
- Fish Preparation
- Cold Preparation
- Stocks and Sauces
- Pastry, Sponges and Doughs
You will be assessed through practical tests, theory tests and written assignments.
You can progress on to employment as a Junior Chef de partie or a Level 4 qualification in Higher Education.
If you are between 19 and 23 years of age when you start this course you may need to pay course fees. However, we can help you with our flexible payment plans.
Level 2 Diploma in Catering or extensive industry experience. Learners will need to have a minimum Functional Skills Level 1 and be working towards a Level 2.
Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
From entry-level qualifications, through to degree-level and specialist professional courses there’s something here for students with little or no formal education right up to career high-flyers. Expect a vibrant environment where you can meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
