Are you interested in working in TV or radio broadcast?
Course Structure
Working both on your own and in crews you will produce a range of practical work including:
- Music videos
- Short films
- Corporate videos
- TV Game shows
- TV advertisements
- TV news journalism
- Radio documentary & journalism
- Music based radio programmes
- Speech package productions
- TV studio programming
You will need to have a good grasp of written English, be able to work positively with others, have an intrinsic motivation and a desire to learn. You will need to show planning, organisation and management skills as well as being able to follow others direction closely. A passion for the subject is a must as planning a production takes time, patience and hard work.

* If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade 4 (C in the old grading structure) or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme.

5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (C in the old grading structure) or above, including English Language and Maths, or a relevant Level 2 qualification with a distinction in the video production unit.
This course is free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
