Fashion is challenging, exciting and very rewarding. If you are curious, enjoy creativity and are interested in developing your individual potential, then this course could be for you. As well as giving you the opportunity to broaden your general education, this course will help you to understand the demands and career opportunities in one of the world’s largest and fastest moving employment sectors. This is a Study Programme course which, if successful, leads to the 90 credit qualification over one year and progression to the full 180 credit qualification over 2 years. You have a number of projects and assignments to complete which are assessed during your course. You also have to complete a final major project in your second year. If you successfully complete all units, you will be awarded a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Art and Design (Fashion and Textiles). This is equivalent to three A levels.

* If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade 4 (C in the old grading structure) or above in English and Maths you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme.

This course requires 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 (C in the old grade structure) or above including an art based subject
OR a relevant Level 2 qualification in an art based subject at Merit Level & GCSE/Level 2 in English & maths.

A portfolio of your work is required for presentation at interview.

This course is free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.
