Level 3 Diploma in Computing
The Extended Diploma in Computing qualification is equivalent to 3 A levels and offers you an introduction to the IT industry and in-depth exposure to personal computers, hardware and operating systems. It is based on theory and practical hands on experience.

You will have appropriate visits from local IT companies and web designers, meet successful IT professionals as well as trips to local venues to explore IT in the workplace. During the course you will be offered the opportunity to take up work placements.
You will be assessed via continuous assessment of coursework, assignments and online tests.
On successful completion of this course you could progress to the HND Computing at the Henley campus or a degree at university. Alternatively, you can enter employment in areas such as applications programming, systems programming, or network administration.
If you are between 19 and 23 years of age when you start this course you may need to pay course fees. However, we can help you with our flexible payment plans.
A relevant Level 2 qualification with a merit/distinction profile and Functional Skills Level 2, or four relevant GCSEs Grade 4 (C) or above, including maths and English, plus a positive school report and the successful completion of an interview.
Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
From entry-level qualifications, through to degree-level and specialist professional courses there’s something here for students with little or no formal education right up to career high-flyers. Expect a vibrant environment where you can meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
