- Plus other units as well as national recognised Functional Skills in English, maths and ICT.
There will be talks by visiting speakers who are current practitioners in the field of business including personnel managers, marketing managers and accountants. Work placements may be organised to provide learners with an opportunity to observe and gain experience in different organisations. There will also be organised visits to universities.
On successful completion of this course, you could progress to employment within a business environment. Alternatively, you may progress to an HND or HNC in Business or to study a degree at university.
A BTEC First Diploma in Business at merit/distinction grade or four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above including maths and English, plus a positive school report and a successful interview with an admissions tutor.

We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
From entry-level qualifications, through to degree-level and specialist professional courses there’s something here for students with little or no formal education right up to career high-flyers. Expect a vibrant environment where you can meet people from different backgrounds and cultures.
