The CIPD is the professional body for HR and people development and offers professional training and accreditation for those working in HR and learning and development. This is a new course and the latest qualification from the CIPD and it will be held on Tuesday Evenings.

This course is ideal for those wishing to acquire a wide range of relevant, practical skills and who need flexibility around course dates and a longer period to complete assessed work.

You will study:

  • Business, culture and change context
  • Principles of analytics
  • Core behaviours for people professionals
  • Essentials of people practice

Successful candidates are eligible for associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

You are required to complete an assignment to demonstrate that you have met all the outcomes for each unit. This may include using both written and practical skills. All units must be completed successfully for you to obtain your certificate. You can enjoy careers in all areas of HR or progress to Level 5 CIPD HR Associate Diploma in People Management.

Please note: New CIPD qualifications are being introduced in 2021. Based on the new Profession Map, the qualifications focus on the knowledge and behaviours required to create value and make an impact in the changing world of work.

The new qualifications set the standard for people professionals. We are planning to offer these from September 2021

Ideally you should already be employed or have experience of working within a HR environment. A good standard of written and spoken English is required and the successful completion of an interview.

This course is free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.

This course is free If you live in the West Midlands Combined Authority area. To be eligible for this funding you must be 19+ years old and live in the West Midlands, on a low wage below £18,135 or unemployed.
