The CIPD is the professional body for HR and people development and offers professional training and accreditation for those working in HR and learning and development.

This course is ideal for those wishing to acquire a wide range of relevant, practical skills and who need flexibility around course dates and a longer period to complete assessed work.

You will study:

  • Developing yourself as an effective HR practitioner
  • Understanding organisations and the role of HR
  • Recording, analysing and using HR information
  • Resourcing talent
  • Supporting good practice in managing employment relations
  • Delivering learning and development activities

Successful candidates are eligible for associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

You are required to complete an assignment to demonstrate that you have met all the outcomes for each unit. This may include using both written and practical skills. All units must be completed successfully for you to obtain your certificate. You can enjoy careers in all areas of HR or progress to Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management at the Henley campus.

Ideally you should already be employed or have experience of working within a HR environment. A good standard of written and spoken English is required and the successful completion of an interview.

This course is free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.
