This qualification is for you if you are carrying out assessments and quality assurance in most learning environments including Further Education, Adult Continuing Learning, Employers and Third Sector. To be eligible for this course you will need to be able to have access to your own learners for assessment purposes. You will need two learners who are currently undertaking a qualification, by a recognised provider. You will study all the essential principles and practices of assessment and the assessment and quality assurance cycle. You will learn through our interactive online course and in your training or teaching environment. You will be assessed through short assignments, a portfolio of evidence and practical observation. There are two units; the first knowledge unit, which is assessed by a series of short questions and a presentation. The second is a practical unit which involves practical, observation, evidence gathering and written work. This qualification can help you to progress your career as a Qualified Assessor or Trainer.  You can also progress onto the Level 4 in quality assurance.

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
