The Level 3 Infrastructure Technician qualification is designed for those interested in working in the IT industry. in particular those who wish to support others who are using technology.

As an Infrastructure Technician apprentice you will be providing support to internal and external customers and will be helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs. You will be using tools to problem solve and troubleshoot non routine problems.

Subjects you may cover include:

• Gaining working knowledge of a range of cabling and connectivity. the various types of systems and IT test equipment
• Understanding maintenance processes and applying them in working practices
• Understanding and applying the basic elements and architecture of computer systems
• Understanding the relevant networking skills necessary
to maintain a secure network
• Understanding how to operate remotely and how to deploy and securely integrate mobile devices
• Understanding and gaining working knowledge of Cloud and Cloud Services
• Understanding the importance of disaster recovery and how a disaster recovery plan works and their role within it
• Understanding and complying with business processes
• Gaining working knowledge of business IT skills relevant to the organisation

Grades D/3 or above in maths and English

You will be required to sit functional skill Level 2 maths and English if you do not have grades C (4) or above.
