The most important part of reaching the status of a fully-qualified gas engineer is being able to do the work safely and legally. This course contains a number of Gas Safety ACS assessments, which is made up of a core safety assessment (CCN1) and then a number of smaller optional appliance assessments.

This course is ideal for both new gas engineers and existing ones whose skills need an update, as refresher training is also available.

Days of study depend upon assessments/training being taken.

Subject areas that will be covered include:

  • CCN1 core gas assessments
  • CENWAT gas central/hot water heating appliances
  • CKR1 gas cookers
  • CPA1 gas appliance combustion  analysis
  • DAH1 gas ducted air heaters
  • HTR1 gas fires
  • MET1 gas meters
  • WAT1 instantaneous water heaters
  • LPG. CoNGLGPD fuel changeover NG to LPG in permanent dwellings

Duration of the courses:

Assessment: CCN1 initial 2/3 days, CCN1 reassessment 2days, initial and reassessment appliances ½ day

Training: Depending on candidate requirements

Previous ACS assessments or managed learning programme.

  • CCN1 Initial Assessment – £360.00
  • CCN1 Re-Assessment – £360.00
  • CCN1 + 2 Appliances (CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT, DAH1, MET1) – £700.00
  • CCN1 + 4 Appliances (CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT, DAH1, MET1) – £1,000
  • CoNGLP1 – £350.00
