Level 2 Pre-Access to Health

This course allows you to develop essential and transferable skills that will help you to progress in further vocational learning. The qualification is particularly suitable for you if you need to develop skills that will equip you for further study and gain an understanding of the vocational area of health/social science.

This course will cover units in:

  • Health Psychology
  • Plagiarism
  • Spreadsheet Software
  • Ethical Issues
  • Health Care Practice
  • Essay Writing
  • Note Taking
  • Research Methods in Sociology

You will be assessed through a variety of well-defined tasks and activities which will allow you to use the skills and knowledge gained and to review your own learning to identify areas for development.

You can progress to the Access to Higher Education course following pathways such as Health, Social Science and Law. The qualification will develop study skills appropriate to progress onto a range of Level 3 courses.

This course can be studied at either the City Campus or Henley Campus.

This course requires Grade 3 (D) GCSE or Level 1 equivalent in English and maths.

A screening test will be carried out if required to determine the level of English and maths skills.

For all other students fees apply:

1st year course fee £633; Exam Fee £58.

Making your application

Fees and funding

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
