Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering
The Engineering Manufacture Apprenticeship at Level 2 is designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and competence requirements to operate at craft or technician level as appropriate within your employment sector.
Training and assessment will take place at college during the first year (this may involve full time or part time college attendance) followed in the second subsequent year by college based day release. You will also undertake work based training, as appropriate, throughout the length of your apprenticeship programme.
As an Apprentice you are required to achieve the following competence and knowledge based qualifications to ensure that you build a rounded set of skills:
- Competence qualification – Level 2 Extended Certificate in a relevant engineering pathway
- Knowledge qualification Level 2 Technical Diploma
- You must also complete or have completed the following transferable Functional Skills, English, mathematics and ICT at Level 1
- Employee Responsibilities and Rights (ERR) Level 1
- Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) Level 1
You will have continuous competence assessment in the workplace for this qualification. Assignment work is graded at pass, merit, distinction for the Technical Certificate.
This course requires 4 GCSE’s grade 3-2 (D to F) to include maths, English and science or completion of the PEO Level 1 in Engineering.
