If you need to retake GCSE Mathematics, this part-time daytime or evening intensive course offers you the opportunity to obtain this qualification in one year. It is also suitable for mature students who need GCSE Maths for career purposes or for higher education. The course runs from September to June. During the year, you will be assessed via 3 final exams in May / June. Topics include number, algebra, geometry, measures, statistics and probability. This course is run over various days during the day and evening for your convenience.
You need to provide evidence that you are capable of succeeding at GCSE level. This could be one of the following:
GCSE Grade D in Mathematics
NEW GCSE Grade 3 in Mathematics
At least a Level 1 in Functional Skills Maths
Initial assessment at Level 1
A place on the course is subject to a successful interview with the course tutor.
If you are 19+, the course is free if you have not yet already achieved A* to C or 9 to 4 with the new grading scale.
It is free for 16-18 year olds on study programmes.

Making your application

Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
