Level 2 EWPA Cskills NVQ Awards in Construction

We are now offering EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment) in the following areas:

  • Plastering
  • Trowel Occupations
  • Wall & Floor Tiling
  • Wood Occupations

This route enables an experienced worker to achieve their NVQ level 2 in their relevant trade through practical assessment. This is a fast track NVQ assessment route for experienced tradespeople who wish to gain the skilled worker CSCS Card required to gain access to site work.

The NVQ Assessment takes part in 3 stages:

Witness Testimonies
These are pre-printed in your NVQ pack which will be sent out to you 2 weeks before your Practical Assessment date. These witness statements relate to work tasks you have completed over the years and they correspond to the units you need to complete to get your NVQ.  They must be signed by a qualified trade related co-worker who has seen you complete these tasks in the last 3 years

Practical Assessment
You will need to complete a practical assessment at the College. Any relevant drawing plans and specifications and measurements will be sent out to you 2 weeks before your assessment. You must complete the assessment to these specifications within the allocated time. You must bring you own tools for this assessment, all materials to complete the task will be provided by the College.

Professional Discussion
This is completed on the same day as your practical assessment. It involves you describing how you completed the jobs outlined in your witness statements.

You must have a minimum of 5 years work experience and have the knowledge and skills in all the NVQ units needed to gain the NVQ.

This course costs £750.
