Course Overview

Esports is defined as organised competitive gaming, which is human versus human, either as individuals or in teams. This qualification includes a breadth of transferrable skills that enable learners to experience Esports across different areas of the industry to aid their progression to employment, directly or via further study.

Across the course, learners will gain knowledge in the following areas of one of the fastest-growing global industries:

  • An Introduction to Esports Games, Teams and Tournaments
  • Establishing an Esports Organisation
  • Streaming for Esports
  • Planning an Esports Event
  • Starting an Enterprise in Esports
  • Designing an Esports Game

Students will work closely with industry experts and alongside Coventry Colleges own Esports organisation, The Coventry Crosshairs, to experience what it would be like to work with a small grassroots Esport organisation in multiple areas of the Esports industry, such as Business, Performance, and Media Production.

Fees and funding

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
