If you are interested in designing websites, understanding how video games are created and working with digital media, then this could be your first step into the world of games design/interactive media. It will give you the chance to develop a wide range of skills and can be used as a progression route into higher level courses or further training.

  • 2D Games Development
  • 2D Games Production
  • Animation Production
  • Graphic Design for Media Products

This course is a Study Programme which consists of:

  • Work Experience
  • Tutorial
  • Maths*
  • English*

*If you have not already achieved a GCSE pass at grade C or above in English and Maths (New grades = Grade 5 or above) you will study Maths and/ or English as an integral part of your college programme.


This course is free for 16-18yrs; for 19-23yrs, course is free if you have not achieved a full Level 2 qualification.

For all other students fees apply:
1st year course fee £1,286; Exam Fee £120

Loans & assistance are available from Student Services.

This course requires 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 (D in the old grading structure) or above including one in English or maths.

Relevant Level 1 qualification with GCSE/Level 1 in English & maths.

In addition you must produce a portfolio of work at interview.

Making your application

Fees and funding

If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
