Level 2 Certificate Door Supervisors
This qualification is designed to ensure that you have the knowledge and understanding of the role and responsibilities of a door supervisor in the security industry; and the appropriate communication skills and knowledge of conflict management.
This qualification is endorsed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and is a requirement of applying for a Door Supervisor’s Licence from the SIA.
Please note you must be over 18 to hold a security licence.
You will be studying:
- Unit 1 – Working in the private security industry
- Unit 2 – Working as a door supervisor
- Unit 3 – Conflict management for the private security industry
- Unit 4 – Physical intervention skills for the private security industry
The course is run over 4 days, 9:00am – 5:00pm and comprises of four units.
Units 1–3 consists of an assessment by a multiple-choice examination and unit 4 is a physical assessment. An overall certificate is awarded on completion of all units.
Please note you will be required to provide identification with your signature on the day of the examinations.
The course is classroom based with a fully qualified tutor, who will support you throughout the programme.
The fee for this course is £225
Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
