Level 2 CACHE Certificate in Understanding Personal Care Needs
The purpose of this qualification is to give learners specialist knowledge to support their work within the social care and healthcare sectors.
Who it is suitable for?
Learners who are working within the health and social care sector and are looking to gain specialist knowledge and understanding of personal care needs.
How is the qualification structured?
To be awarded this qualification, learners are required to successfully complete six mandatory units:
- Understand person-centred care
- Understand how to support personal hygiene
- Understand foot care for individuals
- Understand how to support individuals to maintain oral health
- Understand pressure area care
- Understand sepsis
How is it assessed?
To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Personal Care Needs you must successfully demonstrate your achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the units. This is achieved by completing assessments provided in the learning resources. The Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Personal Care Needs is internally assessed.
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. You must be aged 19+ and resided in the EU for the last 3 years in order to access funding.
This course is free of charge*, however, there is a charge of £50 which will be payable if you do not complete the course.
