Course Overview
This qualification is aimed at candidates who would like to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to progress in to a career as Air Cabin Crew.
The award consists of 2 units of study, covering an introduction to airline and aviation operations and airline health, safety and security. Topics include; aviation terminology, air travel geography, time zones, aircraft flying conditions, roles and responsibilities of cabin crew, airline legislation, safety demonstrations and serving passengers, dealing with security incidents and medical emergencies.
This course is part time, and will be 3 hours contact time with your specialist lecturer and a minimum expected 2 hours independent learning per week.
This is an adult only course, suitable for anybody aged 19 and over.
There are no course specific qualifications required to join this course, however, there is an expectation candidates are working towards a Level 2 standard of English. A short written test will be given at interview to assess suitability.
