Course Overview These English groups are friendly and are made for you to improve your practical English skills. You will be tested to determine your level and an individual learning plan will be drawn up. All English courses are designed to develop your basic English skills. Your progress will be reviewed and feedback is given during confidential one-to-one meetings. When you are ready, you will take a test for a functional skills qualification at your level.
Entry 3 Functional Skills Pass (within the last 3 years).
Please ensure you bring your certificate with you when you come to enrol.
If you do not have any formal qualifications, you still may be able to study this level of English. You will be individually assessed to determine your level of study when you come to enrol.

Making your application
We will check your application to see if you meet the standard entry requirements for the course. If you do, you’ll receive an invitation via email to attend an interview with a Curriculum Tutor.
Fees and funding
If you are aged 16-18 and applying for a full-time programme, then you will not have to pay for your course. If you are aged 19+ then there may be a fee for your course.
